Old Town Georgetown
This is one of my favorite areas of town. This quaint area affectionately known as "Old Town" is the surrounding area of the County Courthouse, includes areas east of I-35 extending to Southwestern University. While the term "old town" may be descriptive of how established the neighborhoods are, the area is anything but old. With Georgetown and Williamson County's populations booming, there is a lot going on in Old Town Georgetown. Around the square there is shopping, coffee, and fine dining. There are also many historic homes in the area interspersed between "newer" homes. New construction homes can be found as well. Real estate in Old Town is experiencing a re-vitalization with many people buying "fixer uppers" and the results are terrific. Majestic pecans trees, close proximity to the Square, and friendly neighbors are just a few reasons to call Old Town home.
Sun City Texas by Del Webb
Five miles west of I-35 off of Williams Drive is Sun City Texas. This active adult community for 55 and better is a city within a city. This community offers beautiful homes and endless activities. With golf courses, swimming pools, and various clubs right at your finger tips, there is almost no reason to venture outside of Sun City (although you won't want to miss out on Georgetown!). With expansion plans on the way, new home construction is always an option, as well as purchasing existing Sun City homes. There are many choices for this location, so let me help you navigate the waters to see if Sun City real estate is right for you.
Gabriel's Overlook
A wooded paradise awaits you here in Gabriel's Overlook. Just 6.5 miles west of I-35 off of Highway 29, there are 1 to 4 acre lots of all types. The Hill Country is at your finger tips. The San Gabriel River is accessible in this gated neighborhood, excellent schools are just down the road in Liberty Hill Texas, and there are options to buy existing homes or build your dream house. A great community for a family in any stage - let me show you around!
Berry Creek
For country club atmosphere and beautiful homes, you won't want to miss this area in the north part of Georgetown Texas. Berry Creek was first developed in the early 1980s but new home construction continues in this 1000 home neighborhood even today. Trees fill the roads and there are plenty of quiet streets for the kids to play. Golf is certainly an option at the Country Club, but don't rule out tennis or swimming at the club's recreation center. Berry Creek homes can sell in the $140's up to and beyond the $700's.
Serenada
Give me land, lots of land - right in the middle of the city! Serenada is a local favorite. Located about 2 miles west of I-35 off Williams Drive, the neighborhood of Serenada features 1 to 2 acre lots surrounded by the city of Georgetown. It can certainly feel like country living right in the heart of the city. Most of the homes in Serenada were built in the early 1980's and many have been remodeled, offer stunning wooded views, deer aplenty, and small acreage home sites. Privacy is at a premium in this rare gem. Another interesting note is many of the homes are on septic, thus the local tax rate for the neighborhood is about 30% less than the rest of Georgetown.
Parkview Estates
For a great location, great pricing, and great parks, check out Parkview Estates homes for sale. It is located near Austin Avenue and Highway 971. With just under 200 homes in this neighborhood, this is a family friendly neighborhood. And with the nationally recognized San Gabriel Park and Georgetown Recreation Center literally minutes away, it's no surprise. This community is full of pride and would welcome the chance to meet new neighbors. Parkview homes sell typically in the mid to high $100's.
Fully Custom Neighborhoods
One of the things Georgetown is known for are the numerous custom home sites available in and around the city. From The Preserve at Escalera off of CR 2243 to The Woods of Fountainwood west on Williams, choose from 1+ acre wooded lots and your imagination to design your fully custom dream home. I work closely with area builders and architects and can help you through the process and will put you in good hands to build your perfect home. A semi-custom home can start in Georgetown for around $250k and from there, the sky is the limit!
Of course, there are many more great neighborhoods in Georgetown and the surrounding towns. These include Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Liberty Hill, Leander and Hutto real estate.
